Dubai:  In a landmark partnership, Taiba Investments has joined forces with Hilton to introduce the first Waldorf Astoria hotel in Madinah, further enhancing the region's luxury accommodation.

Announced at the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) in Dubai, this initiative represents a significant step towards elevating Saudi Arabia's hospitality sector and supporting the nation’s ambitious Vision 2030 goals.

Sultan Al Otaibi, CEO of Taiba Investments, described the collaboration as a pivotal moment for the company's growth strategy. "This partnership not only enhances our hospitality portfolio but also reaffirms our commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences in line with the 'Pilgrim Experience Program,'" he stated.

An iconic location

Slated to open its doors in 2028, Waldorf Astoria Al Madinah will be uniquely positioned on the northern side of the Prophet’s Mosque (PBUH), providing guests with exclusive views of one of the most revered sites in Islam.

The hotel will be just a short walk from the mosque, making it an ideal destination for pilgrims seeking a luxurious stay while fulfilling their spiritual journeys.

Elevating the guest experience

The Waldorf Astoria Al Madinah is designed to impress, featuring over 300 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites. Culinary offerings will include three world-class dining establishments, such as the renowned Peacock Alley café and two additional signature restaurants.

The hotel will also boast versatile event spaces, including multi-functional halls and a boardroom, catering to both leisure and business travellers.

Contributing to local economic growth

Taiba Investments is committed to not only transforming the hospitality landscape but also boosting the local economy. The project is expected to create numerous job opportunities and enhance the tourism infrastructure in Madinah.

Additionally, the existing Taiba Front Hotel will undergo renovations to become Waldorf Astoria Al Madinah, seamlessly blending the global brand's luxury with the cultural essence of the holy city.

A vision for the future

Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of Development for Hilton in the Middle East and Africa, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. "Saudi Arabia is one of our fastest-growing markets, and we are excited to bring the timeless hospitality of Waldorf Astoria to Madinah," he noted. This partnership not only signifies a major milestone for both companies but also paves the way for future growth and expansion in the Kingdom’s hospitality sector.

As the Kingdom continues to develop its tourism sector, partnerships like these are essential for realizing Saudi Vision 2030’s ambitious goals.
